Made fresh Indian bread- Chapati, for breakfast. A much better alternative than white bread. This bread is made from wheat flour. Hence this bread is rich in complex carbohydrates and fiber. A great way to enjoy fresh breakfast and stay full for a longer period of day 🙂
Give it a go if you can. I will soon put a step by step recipe. Maybe will upload a video to show how it rises. Let me know if you will have a go at it. Its delicious, but only when served fresh 🙂
Same. I love my roti. That is good to hear you give your children wholemeal food, you. I love the parantha myself, but on occasion. Its full of ghee, thus extra calories. I prefer it with extra virgin olive oil. But as children need more energy is a good choice.
Oh its a secret.. hahaha. I use the wholemeal Indian Flour (ATTA). You just make it like a pizza dough but without any emulsifiers (yeast or baking soda), without sugar. You can add salt and extra virgin olive oil/ghee. Simply role it (pancake thin) and make it on pan. Heat it on both sides, once it starts rising quickly shift on direct stove for 5-10 seconds. Serve and enjoy. You can rub butter/olive oil on top.
